BREAKING NEWS: Boathouse Bistro Expansion

Boathouse Bistro Owners, Tinka & Steve McCauley, know my order must include the Boathouse Bistro Shrimp Scampi every time I walk though the doors at their current Hingham Shipyard location (because it is DELICIOUS). The most gorgeous, fresh, delicious shrimp (sourced daily from North Coast Seafoods) tossed in a light homemade sauce with pasta and julienne veg (making it feel like a light mix of “noodles & zoodles” rather than a heavier pasta meal) and a portion big enough to bring some home for lunch the next day. The entire menu at Boathouse Bistro is great but, for me, the Shrimp Scampi is everything.
I was fortunate enough to sit down with Tinka, entrepreneur to entrepreneur, mom to mom, and friend to friend, to whisper about the excitement that is buzzing around the next chapter for Boathouse Bistro. The announcement has now been made and the story of Boathouse Bistro is being told with Tinka’s voice, my pen, and the incredibly supportive, hyper-local news platform at Anchor Hingham. Read all about it – hot off the press – right HERE!

Tinka’s favorite dish is the Seafood Pescatore with spicy pomodoro sauce and a mix of gorgeous shellfish. The Spicy Sausage Pizza and Eggplant Rollatini are among the favs on the ‘pizza’ and ‘starters’ menus and the classic Caesar Salad is one of the best on the South Shore. Now, imagine all of this transported to a much larger location, on the beach, with the space to simultaneously host functions and run a catering operation, with a bar you can cozy up to and a wood-burning pizza oven. Boathouse Bistro’s new home in Hull, MA is literally 7 minutes from their current location but provides an unmatched opportunity for Tinka & Steve to flourish, grow, and take the South Shore culinary scene by storm.
After all, a ship in harbor is safe but that is not what ships are built for. I can’t wait to see you at the new Boathouse Bistro location – Shrimp Scampi and sandy feet on repeat all summer.
