It’s launch day for Nosh & Found! 🥳
Your online resource for local food updates & reviews, travel inspiration, and (of course) all things FOOD.

Inspired by my role as Owner & Creative Director (aka: menu development and marketing) of @clandestinekitchen , I am so excited to use this as a vehicle to share with you all of the things I love.

Thank you to my amazing web designer Katie Leavitt Sutton (@katieleavittsutton ), the incredibly talented Sarah Hinchey (@sarahhincheyphotography )and my creative food stylist Kate Van Geldern Bowler (@domestikateblog )for all of the work done to get us to launch day!

To kick things off, you will find some inside scoop on new restaurants Masons Steak House (@masons.steakhouse )and Ironwood (@ironwoodhingham at South Shore Country Club), my recommendations for a quick trip to Charleston (@theobstinatedaughter , @millshousehotel , @millersallday ), my favorite South Shore bakeries (including Victoria Donnelly’s @kneadkitchen and Aundrea Dolan’s @littlewolfbakeshop !), what I love at Boston’s Pink Carrot (@pinkcarrotboston ), and a sneak peek into a super fun recipe convo coming up with Allie Haugh of Seasoned & Salted (@alliehagerty ) as the spring farmers market season draws near…

Eating, traveling, and finding life’s umami is a delicious adventure and i look forward to sharing the best of the best with you!

Neoclassical meets Innovative New American = @masons.steakhouse (Quincy, MA)

- 1926 architecture (Quincy Masonic Temple)
- curated cocktail program
- Wild Spanish Octopus & Wagyu Ravioli
- Za’atar Spice Roasted Carrots
- Sauce Tasting Flight (favs were the Masons Steak Sauce, Ponzu, & Peppercorn Poivre)
- 8oz hand-cut Filet Mignon
- Cherry Blossom Tree 🌸

Head to the location formerly known as the Quincy Masonic Temple and discover the new, sexy, innovative @masons.steakhouse

With complimentary valet (across the street), handmade pastas, hand-cut steaks, an awesome cocktail program, extensive wine list, creative dessert offering, a lowlight ‘scene-and-be-seen’ mood - Mason’s covers all of the bases (and then some).

Highlights for me were the Wild Spanish Octopus, Za’atar Carrots & Wagyu Ravioli w/lemon sage butter. Our bartender, Mike, also sings the praises of the Beef Carpaccio & Shrimp Cocktail (rumored to have a truly delicious homemade wasabi cocktail sauce) so you should probably add those to your appetizer tasting plan, too.

Steaks are cooked using a Josper Basque Grill which runs on charcoal and wood providing a sultry, smokey undertone you can sense throughout the room (add a caviar bump or black truffle and you are LIVING) 💨

Also hearing rumors that the Truffle Alfredo, Porcini Meatballs (‘Almost Vodka Sauce’) and Wagyu Flight are not to be missed. So, we’ve got a lot of work to do here, guys 😉😋.

It’s pricey … but, if you want city vibes, excellent service, a top quality, innovative menu AND be home on the couch with a fire 10 minutes later, this is going to be your new place.

Fun Fact: VP of Culinary, Kevin Long, also co-founded @boston_pasta_company which is a longtime @clandestinekitchen partner and has received ‘Executive Chef of the Year’ celebrated for being among the culinary innovators to bring #farmtotable to New England’s
Find Your Vibe 🎨

Finding your vibe when traveling is such a fun adventure. I find myself noticing the – often grassroots – efforts of local artists (and the establishments that understand how much personality and connection can be created by the art they choose to display) and seek out the places in town where art creates a serious vibe for the community. Here are a few fun “street art vibes” and “restaurant personalities” that have captured my attention on the road.

The Nosh & Found blog (launching 3/1!) will feature 3 categories: Food, Fun & Travel. Find this full post in the ‘Fun’ section and keep on reading…. 😉

If you have visited these places, do you recognize any of these murals/art?

1 - @boku_cola (Columbia, SC)
2 - @sodacitysc (Main St, Columbia SC)
3 - @wynwoodmiami (Miami, FL)
4 - @lighthousebistroannapolis (Annapolis, MD)
