Mrs Trillium’s Book Club

Mrs. Trillium’s Book Club Presents: Signature Series gives authors and audiences the chance to connect over a shared passion for food. Trillium Brewing co-founder Esther Tetreault, aka “Mrs. Trillium”, has created a unique and intimate space for authors and chefs to introduce their cookbooks to a crowd that is eager to learn more about their favorite recipe creators.

Typically held at Trillium’s Fort Point location in Boston, this Signature Series features a Q&A and meet-and-greet with the guest author, samples of items from their cookbook brought to life by the Trillium Culinary Team, selections from Trillium’s extensive beer, cocktail, and beverage program, and a fun “night out” option that offers a memorable experience (plus, a signed cookbook to bring home).

Following an amazing night out at Trillium with a group of friends to meet Gesine Bullock-Prado as she launched her new book “My Harvest Kitchen”, I asked Esther to tell us a little more about her vision for this Signature Series, how it came to fruition, what’s in store for the New Year, and a glimpse at her favorite recipes and cookbook discussions:

Please describe your motivation to launch Mrs Trillium’s book club and who was your first author?
We launched Signature Series as an extension of Mrs. Trillium’s Book Garden – my monthly book club – to add a more immersive event series combining all the elements of a good party: great food and drink with interesting conversation, featuring authors in the fields of food and beverage. We’ve always been collaborative at Trillium, so working with likeminded authors, like we do with other chefs and brewers, was a natural extension. Our first author was Brad Leone with his book Field Notes of Food Adventure.

What is your favorite part about each book club event experience?
Chatting with the authors who are doing the same work we do – designing recipes, creating products and content people consume, and building connections with their audiences – is so inspiring to me. I love hearing unique perspectives on shared experiences. Authors have fun designing their events with us to fit their unique brand, and we love offering you tastes of recipes from the book, unlike many cookbook signing events.

Do you have a favorite dish or two that stand out from the collective events so far? If so, what is it and who is the author that created the recipe?
Brittany Mullins was a friend of mine before she published her first cookbook, Mostly Veggies. She has so many great, easy weeknight meals that my whole family enjoys – which is convenient since my son is a vegetarian and it’s easier to make one meal everyone can eat. We have her Sweet Potato Black Bean Enchilada Bake on regular rotation. I’m also a big baker and a huge fan of Carolina Gelen’s Orange Cardamom Olive Oil Cake from her book, Pass the Plate – it’s delicious!

Is there anything you would like to mention about Mrs Trillium’s book club (a quote? share any upcoming “sneak peek” info? Future evolution of the book club or any special plans?)
After an incredible final 2025 event with Dorie Greenspan (an absolute legend in the baking world) this month, we are looking forward to hosting our annual book swap for Book Garden members in January. Beyond that I encourage everyone to sign up for Book Garden to see what we have in store for next year!

Mark your calendars:

Mrs. Trillium’s Book Club will host author, Jenn Lueke, as she launches her new “Don’t Think About Dinner” cookbook in January 2026. With a special night at Trillium’s Fort Point location on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, this ticketed event is the perfect opportunity to experience this very special Signature Series. Tickets are now available HERE.

In the meantime, be sure to visit Trillium’s Canton location this holiday season to experience the incredible new outdoor skating rink (opens November 28th) made with Glice, an eco-friendly surface that glides just like real ice. Skate all season long by reserving your ice time HERE.
